Greetings families, What a fabulous week it has been in the infant room. On Monday I brought a mystery/discovery box into the class, it contained pieces of orange and purple felt. The babes sure enjoyed tugging on the fabric, this gave the babes the opportunity to strengthen their hand/eye coordination skills. On Tuesday Ms. Jenn was absent and we had a small group so for the activity of the day we played peek-a-boo with a large piece of purple colored fabric, I even included some stuffed animals for this activity! They certainly enjoyed this and it also made for a great object permanance activity. On Wednesday we were very excited to share our plans for the day with our friends, it was a totally fun and non messy sensory activity. We filled ziplock bags with shaving cream & purple/orange food coloring! (we taped the top of the bags to ensure the babes would not open them.) Our friends were then able to squeeze and smoosh the bags til their hearts content, they were very intrigued with the color changing right before their eyes. We ended the day by dividing the class by age so that we could better focus/work on activities that pertain to their specific level. On Thursday the class got to paint a picture of a tiger as a group! As they painted we talked about the color they were using and even sang some fun songs which talked about tigers. :) On Friday I spent the day in the pretot room so unfortunately I don't have any pics for this day; Ms. Jenn reported that it was an overall fun and relaxed day. Have a great weekend! <333 Crystal
