Greetings families,

We have had a wonderful week in the infant class! On Monday, we decorated some gingerbread men ornaments; the babes helped us glue his arms and legs onto his body! On Tuesday, we decorated another set of ornaments, this time painting the sprouts hand and pasting their adorable handprint onto the ornament! On Wednesday, the weather was so lovely we decided to head outdoors and enjoy our circle time out on the deck. We read our book of the week: Little Critter, Merry Christmas; it's a sweet book that talks about a child who is expressing to his parents how happy it makes him to help out with all of the holiday activities. For our activity of the day, we colored pages that focused on Kwanzaa festivities, as we colored the pages we talked about the many different celebrations that occur during this time of year. On Thursday, we had a small group and Ms. Jenn went home after lunch so we decided to head outdoors and make our very own snow!!! The babes certainly enjoyed this activity, they dug their little hands into the "snow pail" and smooshed it in between their fingers. I then grabbed some and sprinkled it above to make some "flurries" I even sang a song that talks about snow, titled snowflakes fall to the ground(sung to the tune of twinkle, twinkle) we had such a great time! Shortly after we headed back in to make some more holiday crafts. I painted each sprouts foot, we then made a super cute Christmas tree out of their footprint! On Friday, we sang plenty of holiday songs and decorated a picture of a snowman as a group using cottonballs,5 this was a very fun activity!

May you have a lovely holiday, see ya in the new year! ;)
