Happy Thursday!! We had the most incredible day.  Our day began as usual with drop offs outside on the deck.  While it was humid and a little hot, we still made the most of our time outside singing songs and making music.  Genevieve explored the jungle gym climbing up and down the slide over and over again.  Judah found the little red fire truck and pushed it across the floor.  Walter wandered around picking up different objects and making sounds with them.  He also explored the jungle gym with Genevieve working on his slide climbing skills.  Julia enjoyed some tickle time and worked on tapping two different cups together.  We even got to enjoy a few tiny raindrops.

Our first nap was excellent.  The room was nice and cool and we all got to snuggle up with extra blankets.  We were waiting for the rain to come, but it wasn't here yet.  However, we did get to enjoy the darkness in the room because of the clouds.  Cloudy weather always helps for a good nap.  While Julia and Judah were still sleeping, Walter and Genevieve got to enjoy some cuddle time on the mattress.  We spent quite a while jumping up and down and talking to Mr. Owl.

After lunch, we sang a few of our favorite songs such as Open, Shut Them, and The Itsy Bitsy Spider.  We read a few books on the big carpet, and listened to music while taking turns looking out the window.  We talked about cold objects and allowed everyone to feel Sandy's cold drink bottle.

Today, we also practiced using our gentle touches when touching our friends faces and head.  It would be helpful to practice this same terminology at home so our friends could more easily identify the words.  Hope everyone's day was as great as ours!

<3 Sandy
