Greetings infant families,

I hope everyone has had a lovely week thus far! We have certainly had a wonderful week in the classroom. On Monday we welcomed our newest friend Fisher! He had a great first day and was very popular among his new classmates. During circle time this week we have decided to use more than one book for our daily circle time. Today we read: A very hungry caterpillar, we happen to know a very cute song for this book and decided to sing it since we are focusing on music for this month's theme and what better month to learn about music than March madness aka SXSW madness! :p We ended the day singing various songs in high and low notes, the babes were very intrigued! On Tuesday Ms. Jenn brought a microphone in to share with class, everyone had chance to hold it and "speak" into it ;) Ms. Jenn and I used this to sing to the babes all day! On Wednesday Ms. Jenn and I thought it would be very entertaining for the babes if we sang a warm up song that we're both familiar with since we recently discovered that we both took choir during our high school years! :p We practiced singing the vocal/pitch scales of Do-Re-Mi..the babes were definitely enjoying all the hand movements that go along with this song and the different ranges we made using our voice. During circle time we read/sang five little monkeys. On Thursday we brought some paper towel rolls into class and practiced making high and low sounds with our vocal chords the paper towel rolls were great to help amplify the sound and keep our friends interested in the activity, shortly after we passed it around the table so that our friends could get a better view of this item. On Friday we made our very own microphones for the babes to explore it was tons of fun!!

*having technical difficulties, will upload more photos asap!*

Have a great weekend!
