Hello Families! We apologize for not posting yesterday. We had a teacher out with the stomach bug that is going around. There have been 3 cases of diarrhea in the infant room. Please remember that if your child has diarrhea he or she needs to stay out of school until 24 hours after the diarrhea stops. Thank you all for being so great about adhering to our illness policies!

We have had a great day so far! We started the day off outside. Genevieve, Walter and Gage  had a blast exploring the deck, climbing the slide and playing peek a boo through the windows of the little house.

After first nap we moved into circle time. Julia, Walter and Genevieve were particularly attentive. Genevieve has been learning so many new words and she is also working on her animal sounds J The songs we sing and the stories we read are full of repetition which the babies love and which supports their language development.

We would also like to welcome Miles and his parents, Clarissa and Brennan, to our classroom! His first day was Tuesday and he is adjusting quite well! He and Walter made friends today and we are happy to have him here at the sprout. Miles had fun in the exer-saucer today and he also enjoyed playing with the toy arch we have.

Now that we have these great new chairs that attach to our table, there has been more socializing at lunch. Today Julia was full of smiles as she sat in her chair across from Judah and Walter. Walter and Judah held their sippy cups out to each other and then banged them on the table.

Lunch was followed by free play and more singing.

We hope everyone is having a wonderful Wednesday!
