Greetings, Infant families! Oh, what a wonderful & busy week we've had in the classroom! This week we welcomed our newest friend to the bunch, her name is Morgan and she is 5 months old. Her transition has been great thus far; we're so excited to have a new friend added to the daisy group. As you know our current curriculum is exploring opposites and this week's focus was, "in" and "out." We set up various activities for the babes to explore. They enjoyed crawling/laying(for the younger babes) inside the large green collapsible tunnel during a game of peek-a-boo! During circle time everyday this week we brought out some very fun Montessori items. Our friends each had a chance to help us place objects "in" the box/containers and take them "out" and repeat the process a few times, Austin seemed proud to be the demonstrator for his younger friends as he completed the task independently. Splash day was very exciting and everyone looked extremely adorable in their swimming attire! Before we headed out we emphasized on the fact that we were "inside" the class, going "outside" to the deck area. Most of the babes enjoyed sitting in the pool splashing the water with their hands and feet, while other friends were not too fond of it but still managed to enjoy their time outside by touching and feeling the scruffy textured turf on the deck. Our song of the week was: Hokey Pokey! We had a blast dancing around and putting on a show for the babes; Their reaction to us dancing was too cute, we had their undivided attention and some friends even burst out into giggles! Have a lovely weekend! <3 Crystal

Every baby's face is different as they peer through that tunnel! Fisher seems a little quizzical.
