Shapes: Hearts!

Greetings infant fams,

We had a fabulous week in the infant class! On Monday we started the morning singing some songs about love including  "I Love You". In between songs we made sure to practice giving gentle touches, blowing kisses and how to give hugs to our friends. On Tuesday, the older babes pasted bright and colorful hearts to a piece of construction paper using their hands to pat the hearts down and our younger even got a chance to help with some of the patting. They also got a chance to feel the stickiness of the glue stick.  It's so much fun exploring these simple items with our friends as everything is new and exciting for them. We ended our day with a  book which talked about all of the shapes we have been focusing on for the past month. On Wednesday we welcomed our newest friend to the bunch, her name is Finnlie. She had a lovely first day and adjusted really well to her new surroundings and friends. During circle time I thought it would be fun to incorporate some puppet play while reading books for our friends, everyone seemed to enjoy this as they were full of giggles & smiles! Shortly after we set up a super cute photo shoot with the babes in preparation for our special spring project, they had such a blast with all the fun props we set up for them and I could tell they loved all the extra attention they were receiving. On Thursday we worked on our spring project some more, each friend got the chance to help us add stickers to the craft. On Friday we used a toilet paper roll to add heart shaped stamps to paper it was a ton of fun their little faces were in awe each time they stamped a heart onto the page!

*Have a wonderful holiday/weekend!*
