Greetings families,
This week the babes got to explore windy weather. It was so fun watching them react to the wind. The majority of the week was spent exploring a fan that Ms. Jenn brought in to share with the class. The weather was not OK to be outdoors and we wanted the babes to still have a chance to experience some sort of wind. For one activity, we tied some pieces of fabric to it to demonstrate how wind affects certain items/objects. We then placed a large piece of fabric over the fan and even had some of the babes huddle under it to experience the gust of wind and the flowing fabric. We also brought a pinwheel in for the babes to explore. We practiced blowing air from our mouth to make the wheel spin! During circle time all week we read Curious George flies a kite; this book was perfect for the homemade kite we made for our classroom, all of the babes sure enjoyed it! Over all it was a lovely week. I would like to officially welcome our newest daisy to the bunch; her name is Adele and she just completed her first full week in the class. All of our friends were very interested in getting to meet her. The babes have been doing really well at practicing gentle touches with her. Have a great weekend!
