Welcome New Week!

Greetings Family & Friends ,
It's the start of a new week & the babies all came to school wearing a smile & caring high energies today! We can all ready tell it's going to be a great week. Over the weekend Jackson celebrated his 1 year birthday and he is officially headed into Pre-Tot hood! Before our AM nap we decided to use a big green bowl as a drum and small spoons as drum sticks. The babies were inspired by the music playing in the classroom (Walter's chill mix ) to tap their spoons to a very close beat! After music time we read a nice nap time book then rested our bodies! We had a great morning nap and I captured a few pictures of the babies waking up and enjoying their favorite book. We have a solid routine down where we will lay out a book by their nap mat so the moment they are ready they can reach for it and use it as a wake up transition tool! Following books is circle time and today we enjoyed making different sounds with our mouths! The babies love the surprises stops and ready, set, go(s) we use to start and end sounds. All eyes are on Mag and I as we shout out the "SET." There is total anticipation for the GO!
We then went out side on t he deck for some free play! While some friends are playing some friends are in side having lunch. We sat at the table today in chairs and used all of our skills to independently eat and drink! It was a great lunch time today.

Following lunch we brought in some computer key boards for exploration! The entire group was very interested in checking them out! Some friends used different objects to press down on keys while others just used their hands to press and pat down. We also enjoyed a few games of peek a boo with the tunnel. We then get nice and cozy for second nap which went really smooth and babies all woke up with big smiles. I took a couple of pics of our afternoon ( Each baby is doing their own thing ) which is a sign of well rested kiddos! We had Tula and Jackson enjoying some cheerios, Walter checking out some materials on the shelf, G playing in the tunnel, and Julia bouncing in the exersaucer!
Overall splendid day and splendid way to start the way!
