Action-packed Friday!

What an action-packed Friday! We had seven kiddos in our class today, so it was tough to find time to document and blog, so I apologize for today’s short blog entry today.

Since the infant room was closed today, two younger friends joined us; Gage and Julia. Toni assisted with them since they are already familiar with her as one of their teachers. We started off our day on the playground and then had a quick snack indoors. We did calendar as usual and talked about the weekend and Monday being a holiday. They get very excited about calendar time these days. We discussed the color brown while eating and after snack some friends did some art with brown materials. Then I introduced Velcro to them but it was honestly not too exciting nor interesting. That’s okay, though! J

We went back outside for circle time, which involved Jackie playing her guitar! Everybody (in the school) danced around and loved it. Then we played some Yo Gabba Gabba tracks (always a hit with the sprouts) and the dance party raged on until lunch.

During lunch Toni fed her infant friends and many of the tots were pretty tired and not too hungry, so nap took place earlier than usual. After nap we plan to sing some songs and play a whole lot, perhaps do some more art with brown materials. Again, I apologize for the short blog, as we usually get very in-depth about our day and each kid, but today was just one of those days that we need to rush through this task. We plan to return to the much more awesome blogs next week. Thanks for your understanding. It’s been a wild Friday, as you could probably tell! Have a good weekend, we hope to see you here for the potluck on Sunday and also hope you have a great Columbus Day on Monday. We will be closed, but feel free to sign up for the Parents’ Day Out if you’d like your sprout to come to school for the day.
