BAck in Action

Hey friends! Well, it feels good to be back in almost perfect health, as most of you may know I wasn’t feeling to well yesterday and left a little early. However, today I am feeling much better and ready to get back in action.

So we started the morning outside as usual and headed in for snack around 9:05am. Sophie climbed up the ramp all by herself this morning without holding on to anything; it was very impressive. Once we were finished with washing hands, we all sat down to have some delicious pears that Miss Dom had cut up for us this morning along with some rice puffs. After snack, we all sat down on the big blue rug for circle time. All of our kiddos are doing a spectacular job of sitting down and staying put during circle time. Today we introduced the shape “circle.” We pointed to objects in our room that had a circle shape as well as some of our clothes we were wearing that had circle shapes on them. Olive was wearing some purple pants with polka dots on them, and Wynn was wearing a red shirt with a drum that was shaped like a circle.

After circle time we all headed out to the deck where we had the kiddos play with some puff balls. Sophie was the first one who took interest in the puff balls, and then Wynn and Ancel wanted to get in on the action. They seemed to really enjoy the texture of how soft and squishy the puff balls felt. Noah and Olive took interest in the puff balls a little later. Soon after playing with the puff balls, I pulled out some bubble wrap that was lying out on the deck and showed the kiddos how to pop the bubbles with our feet. Sophie and Ancel were having a blast stepping on the bubble wrap, however, they weren’t as successful at popping the bubbles; LoL. Later we had some hugging action going on between Ancel, Olive, and Noah! First, Ancel and Olive hugged and then Noah gave Olive a hug; it was the sweetest thing ever! Then I showed Ancel and Olive how we shake hands; it was adorable.

After spending some time outside, we headed back in for lunch and then nap. Later in the afternoon we will be using different color markers and drawing on some paper that has been cut in the shape of a circle by Miss Arielle. Tomorrow we will continue learning about the shape “circle,” and playing with bubbles. If your kiddos have any clothes that have circle shapes on them, we encourage you to put them in it (Optional). See you guys tomorrow!

*Also, one of our kiddos was out sick with diarrhea today, so there is some illness or bug that is going around still, so just make sure to wash hands constantly.
