Black And White!!!!

Hello tulip fams!!!We've been having a great week here in the tulip class learning about the colors black and white. On Monday we made ink blot cards. I squirted some black paint onto a white piece of paper and then we had the kiddos fold the paper in half and then smash the paper together. Afterwards, they got to unfold the paper to reveal their unique ink blot.On Tuesday we did a large motor soil activity where our kiddos had to shake a magic 8 ball. Each of our tulips took turns shaking the ball and then turning it over to reveal what it said. This was a very simple activity, but our kiddos loved taking turns shaking the ball so much that we took it outside yo share with all of our other school friends. On Wednesday we did an activity where our little tulips had to separate black and white pieces of paper. After circle time we gave each of our kiddos a piece of black and white crumpled paper. Then we placed a white sheet and a black sheet of paper in front of them and asked them to put their black piece of paper onto the black sheet and the white on the white sheet. They all did very well with following our instructions. On Thursday we took turns wearing a skunk hat and practiced walking on all fours with our bottoms in the air like skunks. Today we made nature collages using contact paper and had each kiddo place leaves, pumpkin seeds or sand onto it. Then we covered it with more contact paper and let them look at their masterpiece.I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!!Much love,
Cherokee <3p.s.
