Happy Tuesday folks!

I am very excited to be back at school and see all of my favorite little people.  I had an incredible spring break ( I hope you did too), but I could not wait to come back to Green Sprout to hang with all of my tiny awesomes!  It's Tuesday and we are back in the swing of things.  It has only been one week that we were gone, but it felt like such a long time.  I used to think by this age level the changes that occurred in children would happen on a larger scale, but I have been proven wrong.  Everyone seems taller, chattier, and more intelligent than last week.  The language boost that has happened since we have been out of school was the first thing I noticed today.  I remember a time when everyone used to babble and make sounds, and now these sounds are turning into words and phrases!  It's all happening so fast!

Besides the verbal progress, I have also seen a huge leap in comprehension as well.  I told a few of you today how I used to give the kiddos small tasks one at a time as to not overwhelm them, and today I started giving them two tasks in a row.  I was very surprised to see the level of comprehension each kid showed when performing said tasks.  For instance, today we started a few new responsibilities which included rolling up their nap mats and taking them to the bathroom.  They were so excited to do it too.  They really thrive when you give them trust and assign them duties.  It's such a pleasure to see them learn and grow in front of your eyes.  I am feeling completely rewarded today and look forward to what the next few months have in store for us.
