Fire Drill Day

Happy Tuesday!

Today we focused on articles of clothing. We know that our friends already know a lot about clothes, but now we can focus on pronouncing the words properly, and have fun trying everything on. During circle time we re-read the book “Getting Dressed”. This is already a favorite in our class. We also read “Blue Hat, Green Hat”. We practiced putting socks on our feet, and hats on our head. Also, the underwear were a popular clothing item today as well.

Today we also had a mock fire drill. Dom set off the smoke alarm and we all wandered outside. We lined up as a class and walked together to the front yard where we sat in the parking lot. We did a head count of everyone here today, and then lined up again to walk back to the playground when we were done. Everyone was very curious about this “beep, beep” sound. They were slightly nervous at times, but then mostly curious and excited.

There have been a few illnesses going around the school such as nausea and diarrhea. Also, Thursday is the last day to sign up for our Parent's Night Out Fundraiser. Hope everyone has a great week.
