Gardenistas!

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Well it was a chilly morning at the Sprout. I'm sure we're all in shock about this last impact of cold weather. It sure shook my bones! Our kids however, didn't have a care in the world. They were up and down, moving and shaking, unfazed by the temperature.
In the morning we spent time reading books. The color books have been a huge hit, and we make it a point to go through them daily. The students have shown great interest in colors, and we have been pointing out different colors on our clothes and toys.
We spent a good amount of time outside today. The sun came out and it was just too tempting not to stay out and enjoy it. Toni was working on the garden a good portion of the day, and our friends really enjoyed watching her and helping out. We set up the sensory table with dirt and water so that our students could dig in with shovels. We also looked for roly polies and found a beetle! In the afternoon Abby came to give us our yoga class. The kids were just so energetic and active this afternoon we decided to have yoga outside as well. It was a pretty lovely routine day.
