What a fun week with the Tulip class. Monday was a fun day. We used our fine motor skills and created sun catchers using coffee filters, food coloring and eye droppers.  We also got  expressive with lovely chalk drawings where Finn felt particularly expressive with this medium. It reminded me of the project we did earlier in the year with the moon and cheerios as craters project.

Tuesday we got to get a much needed yoga session in because all of our energetic tots. We also got to hear about Luke's family trip to Galveston! It was his first beach trip and the pictures he shared showed us he was fearless and all smiles on his adventure to the ocean.  Luke also brought in the book "Red Truck" to share during circle time. I encourage you all to bring an item from home as a sort of show and tell (I'll include more details in the email). It really makes the child feel proud to have all eyes on them as we share a belonging of theirs with their friends.

Wednesday we had a lot of imaginary play outside. We created music using pots, pans and sticks as drum sticks! We also got to use our motor skills with the ever-so-popular parachute. Our kiddos enjoy going underneath it rather than holding onto a handle if the bigger kids already have a handle. They also like to put some balls on the parachute to see them go up and down! Before lunch time we had a community car wash. This helps the kiddos learn how important it is to take care of our community toys while still having a fun, sensory-filled time!

Thursday we welcomed Stella for a play-date and Hank was very interested in our new visitor and welcomed her with hugs and Hank smiles.  During Spanish Luke impressed the class with his spanish abilities and the names of farm animals and counting to 10. After snack we were excited to have a real treat to celebrate Finn's birthday. Some delicious vegan coconut sorbet and followed that up with bubbles balloons and a light dance party.

Friday we had our dance party! We had an extra special send off to some of our friends who are going separate ways. Friday was full of love!

Best,

Jackie & Charlie
