Happy 4th of July!

Today was a blast! We started out with some fun on the slide and ended it with a solid splash day! Our friends have been very aware of what each other are doing and so when one child went down the slide many others went down too. They love doing things in groups!

Everyone was happy to have Genevieve back from her vacation. After snack Genevieve said she needed to go pee and asked to use the potty. We sat her down and sure enough she went! We were very excited and so were her friends who all suddenly wanted to sit on the potty. Tula and Jackson sat on the potty and Tula peed too :) We are excited about this new step in our friend's development.

After nap we made the awesome patriotic t-shirts that you all took home today. We used their handprints for the stars and Ms. Ashley painted on the stripes. The kids all get so excited about using paints, so we thought it would be fun to have them paint something that they could take home and use. It's also a great way to celebrate the 4th.

After our craft we headed out to the deck for splash day! As you can see in the pictures, we now have two kitty pools, an awesome hanging sprinkler, and astro turf. The kids had a blast splashing in the pools! Jackson did mini cannon balls and made huge splashes! Kai climbed in a tub and played with some plastic fishies. Tula got on her belly and kicked like she was swimming. Miles splashed and splashed, not phased at all by the crowd of toddlers in the pool with him. Genevieve poured buckets of water on herself and Julia found a bunch of fishies and splashed with them.

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday! Remember, there is no school tomorrow but we will be back on Friday.
