Happy first day of November!

I'm so sorry that we have no pictures from today. The camera has given up on us. Fortunately, Cherokee will be back tomorrow with her reliable camera! We're so excited to see her and hear about her trip!

Sarah subbed with Arielle today. Wynn, Olive, Ancel, Gage, Clara, Sophie, and Noah arrived on the playground, which was still decked-out in Halloween party decorations. We spent most of the morning playing outside and cleaning up from the party, as well as talking about our Halloween experiences. The kids had fun finding leftover bubbles, pirate eye masks, bowling pins, ball, etc.

While outside Wynn enjoyed playing with the (broken) camera. Olive engaged in a jibberish conversation with Jackie, and both of them laughed together at themselves. Gage cuddled with Sarah. Clara stuck stickers from Jackie all over her body. Ancel walked around with a tray that had a play tea cup inside it and showed it to everybody, then said "thank you!" Sophie loved finding small bubble containers. Noah played ball, throwing it all around the playground.

Later on, Gage and Wynn sat in Arielle's lap and Gage rubbed Wynn's head and hair. Wynn looked as if he was really enjoying it, as if it was a nice massage. Noah tossed a small ball to Sarah, and then played toss with Alanna, a toddler. Ancel tapped a stick on a boat toy as if it was a drum. Clara and Olive said "hi" to each other over and over. Sophie gave Toni lots of hugs when Toni stepped outside. She brought the dogs, Teddy and Soy Bean with her, and the kiddos chased them around the playground, giggling.

We stayed out later than usual (until 11:00) in order to get ready for daylight savings time adjustments. We talked about our new month, November, during lunch and did the calendar. We also talked about how Cherokee will return tomorrow.

During nap Arielle went off to work on the Kinder Blossom room and Lizzie took her place. She and Sarah hung out with the kids after nap and took them on the deck before Spanish class with Leona. The Kinder Blossom room has a window that looks onto the deck, so Arielle popped her head out the window and greeted the tots. They smiled and waved, and she showed them the K.B. room through the window so that they could see what was going on in there (not a whole lot for now.)

Leona arrived and the sprouts went back into the classroom for Spanish. When they were wrapping up their lesson, Arielle returned to hang out with them for the rest of the day. They had a blast with Lizzie and Sarah in her absence. It's been a very chill day and we'll probably pick up the pace next week, once the original co-teachers are back with their sprouts for an entire week. Have a great evening and see you tomorrow (and see you, Clara, on Tuesday!)
