Hello pre-tot families! Today we started the morning with outside free-play, and all of our kiddos arrived outside on the playground except for our friend Gage who stayed home with a high fever :( We are all hoping that he gets better soon and can’t wait for him to join us once again.

This morning Sophie spent some time running around with one of the bubble wands she had found on the playground. Ancel took interest in our water hose hideaway and then spent some time playing in the sandbox. Noah played with a plastic bowling ball that we had from our Halloween party. Wynn played with a little red fire truck toy that he found on the playscape and attempted to roll it down the ramp. Hunter spent most of her time cuddling with Miss Arielle and myself; she seemed really sleepy. Olive got to look at a pretty butterfly up close that Miss Arielle took a picture of outside. After spending some time outside we all headed in for some snack and circle time.

During snack we all sang the “Days of the Week” song and counted how many days we are at so far this month. After snack we all sat in a circle for circle time. Today we sang the “Hello” song and “Old McDonald Had a Farm.” We also introduced the animal “Cow,” and made the sound a cow makes in which Ancel and Olive both mimicked. Then we showed them lots of pictures of cows. Shortly after, we all headed outside to the deck.

Out on the deck Noah spent most of his time playing with different types of balls he found on the deck. He played with a tennis ball, a red kick ball, a soccer ball, and a whiffle ball. Ancel impressed us by pushing two push cars at the same time. Wynn was pushing Olive around on one of the little cars and spent some time kicking around the soccer ball we have out on the deck. Sophie spent some time sitting in some of the chairs and even tried to sit in a small box which was not as easy to get out of as it was to get in; I helped her out though. Hunter played with one of the tennis balls and enjoyed throwing it and watching it bounce.

After playing outside on the deck for a little while we all headed back in for lunch and nap. After nap, we will continue the day with some painting and exploring what sandpaper feels like. Afterwards, we will read “Cluck and Moo,” which is a book about the sounds different farm animals make. Tomorrow we will continue to learn about the animal, cow, and explore crystals and make art using crayons.

See you guys tomorrow!
