Greetings once again from the pre-tot room! We have been having a wonderful day so far. We started the morning in the backyard with free-play and interaction with all of our school friends. Gage is still out for the day with an ear infection, but he is on antibiotics and will be joining us tomorrow once again; YAY!!! All of our other friends were able to join us outside before heading inside for snack and circle time.

We had a very delicious snack today which consisted of pears, clementine oranges, and blackberries; YUM!!! During snack we went over the days of the week and sang the “Days of the Week” song as well as counted how many days we are up to so far. After snack and diaper changes, we all headed to the carpet for circle time. Today we sang the “Hello” song, and “Old McDonald had a Farm.” Then we continued to learn about cows and the sounds they make and looked at lots of pictures of cows. Ancel is really good at making the cow sound. Wynn makes the cow sound too, however, his sounds a lot like a sheep; lol. After circle time we all headed outside to the deck.

On the deck we all got to explore different types of rocks and crystals that Miss Arielle brought in today. There were some rocks that were all smooth and some that were bumpy and rough, and others that were a little bit of both. Clara carried around two of the rocks the entire time we were out on the deck. All of our little guys got a chance to play with and feel the different textures of the rocks and crystals. Afterwards, they all dispersed and did some free-play. Olive made me laugh when she rode around on the little purple dragon with a bucket on her head. Sophie is taking a lot of interest in climbing on and sitting in all the chairs on the deck. At one point I stacked all the foldable chairs against the wall so that they could have more room to run around, and Sophie pulled all the chairs back out so she could sit on all of them; it was too funny. Noah really enjoys sitting in the little red chairs, which I like to refer to as the “Space Chairs.” He also spent some time pushing around little Clara in one of the push cars. After playing out on the deck for a little while, we all headed back inside for lunch and nap-time.

After nap we will be doing some art using crayons, and then we will have story time in which I will be reading “Barnyard Dance!” by Sandra Boynton. Story time will be incorporated in our daily routine from now on and if there are any books that you would like to bring in to share with the class, you are more than welcome. Also, be sure to label any books that you do bring in so as not to get confused with our books.

Tomorrow we will be introducing the animal pig. We will also be working with shaving crème and using markers for our art.

I hope everyone is having a terrific Tuesday! Thank you for always being such amazing parents! See you guys tomorrow!
