Purple And Orange!

Hello tulip fams and happy holidays!!!

It was a short week, but we managed to do a lot in these two days of school we had.

On Monday the weather was still pretty nasty so we stayed indoors the entire day. However, our kiddos still got to work out their little muscles once I brought in some big empty boxes and cut little doors for them to crawl in. They had a blast crawling into the holes and poking their heads out. Afterwards, we painted with small pieces of sponge using Orange paint. Our little tulips loved using the songs to paint on the paper. I also cut out small squares from a magazine and had them paste the squares onto a piece of paper to make a color collage.

On Tuesday, we began our morning inside because it was still too cold to go outside. Our little tulips enjoyed some free play in our play area instead. We also sang lots of fun songs like "The wheels on the bus," "Along comes Mr. Crocodile," and "The itsy bitsy spider" yoga version. For our activity for the day I cut out big purple and orange circles and placed them on the carpet. Then I asked them to find either a purple or orange circle and then jump up and down on it. This activity not only strengthened their knowledge of each color but also allowed them to practice using their leg muscles. I also played some music in the background for them to jump up and down to.

I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe holiday!!!

Much love,

Cherokee <3
