Rainy Weather

Salutations tulip fams!

It has been a very short week due to some last minute crazy cold weather! Nonetheless, I hope everyone is staying safe and warm indoors and snuggling up with your little ones.

This week we have been focussing on rainy weather and exploring the properties of it.

On Tuesday miss Jackie and miss Crystal did an activity with our little tulips where they each got to practice using a dropper. Miss Jackie took turns with each of our kiddos and showed them how to squeeze the dropper to suck in and release water.

On Wednesday miss Magdalen and miss Jackie did an outside activity with our kiddos. Each of our little tulips got to take turns watering our garden using the little yellow duck watering can. In the afternoon our Spanish teacher, miss Daphne, brought in two puzzles to share with our kiddos. One was a color puzzle and the other was a number puzzle. First she started with the color puzzle. She gave each of our kiddos a puzzle piece and then asked them to place it with its matching color. Then she included the number puzzle. The numbers on the puzzle were colored red, blue, green and yellow. She then took the blue, red, green and yellow from the color puzzle and showed our kiddos how some of the numbers match the colors and put them into groups. Each of our little tulips got to take a turn placing the puzzle pieces into a group.

On Thursday we did an activity where we got to listen to rain and. Thunder sounds on a CD. We sat our kiddos at the table and had them listen very carefully to the sounds. Then we got to create our own thunder and rain by patting the table. During circle time we passed around the rain maker and showed our kiddos how the rain sounds.

Unfortunately, some of our kiddos weren't able to join us this week :( But hopefully they will be back and in good health next week for our sunny/cloudy weather theme :)

Have a safe and wonderful weekend friends!!!
