Red And BLUE!!!

Hi friends!

It's been a great week here in the tulip class with lots of BLUE skies and RED noses from all the chilly weather we've been having.

On Monday we mixed red and blue paint and let our little tulips discover how mixing those two colors creates a totally new color; purple! Our little guys love working with paint, especially when using their hands, so they had a blast with this activity!

On Tuesday we got clear plastic water bottles and put water in them and then added blue and red food coloring. We made 3; one with blue, one with red and then one using red and blue together. Our little tulips got to watch as we slowly dropped the food coloring into each container and watched as the water began to slowly change color. Unfortunately, I wasn't present during this activity because I was at a Dr. appointment, but Mr. Nick described everything they did. Regrettably I don't have any photos from this activity either :( However, Mr. Nick said that they really enjoyed it and each kiddo took turns holding and  shaking the bottles.

On Wednesday and Thursday we did they same activity. All of our little tulips sat in a circle and each was giving either a blue or red object. Then we placed a blue and red container in front of them and asked which color container matched their object. We said, "You have a red/blue object, which container matches your object." Then they placed their object into one of the containers. All of them did really great with this activity, which is why we decided to do it two days in a row.

Thank you so much for updating the blog every week- pictures or no pictures. I look forward to it every weekend and helps me feel connected to whats going on with Avey while we're apart. I know it is a lot of work, but it's very appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Meagan,

I was talking to Kady Dunlap and her friend (+ 2 year old daughter... I am terrible with names, so have already forgotten), and they said that you and I are neighbors! I am on 54th and Avenue G. If y'all ever want to play, we would love to meet up sometime.

Best,
Natalie and Luke
