Ringing in the Spring

Happy Wednesday, all!

Today we continued with our music theme. The kids are loving all the musical instruments! During morning free-play some of our friends read our book of music, while others rang bells and drummed on all sorts of surfaces. Of course we sang songs. Some of the children are starting to sing along with us, which is very exciting! In the afternoon we strung bells on pieces of ribbon and tied them around the children's ankles. They stomped and danced and listened to the bells jingle. This was a fun way to get them all involved in making some music :)

Today we also had some extra outside time today before lunch. It was beautiful out! Some of our friends were particularly interested in the climbing dome. Although they are not yet able to climb it, they enjoyed holding the bars and swinging their bodies back and forth.
