Takin Care of Each Other

Happy Tuesday!

I am so glad to be spending time with these littles again.  I had an amazing time on my vacation, and I couldn't be happier to be back in Texas with these awesome kids!  We had a great day today exploring and playing.  In the morning we talked about community helpers and reviewed a few different people who help make our community a great place.  We read the book Little Workers and talked about the different tools in our doctor's kit.  We also took turns checking each other's heart beats and blood pressure.  A little later in the day we played dress up and everyone got to try on different costumes.  Some of them used the medical kit to check and see if they're friends were healthy.

In the afternooon we had yoga with Abby and sang our favorite songs.  Everyone is becoming so familiar with the songs, and they really like to sing them during yoga and after.  Our friends really look forward to yoga and spending time with Abby.  Each time she comes again they have perfected a new move or feel comfortable enough to sing the songs out loud.  They are becoming such great little yogis.

After yoga we spent time working on our fine motor skills.  We had the students work on stacking blocks on trains or putting blocks on a string.  They were so focused and sat at the table for almost 20 minutes working on projects.  They really enjoyed the challenge of moving the blocks onto the string or stacking them on top of each other.

I hope everyone is having a fabulous week!

xoxo
