Today we had a blast playing with bubbles on the playground during arrivals. It was a nice, cloudy morning that grew increasingly darker with grey clouds. By the time we went inside to eat snack, it was sprinkling outside, so we declared that our weather was “rainy,” no longer “cloudy,” and changed the weather wall display. We also did the calendar and sang “three little ducks” during hand-washing time. During circle time we talked about ducks and showed off the pictures of ducks and geese that Noah shared with the class. He was very proud. We also sang the Hello song and Three Little Ducks during circle time, and our monkey puppet gave everybody a kiss on their shoulders. Then we played inside since it had been sprinkling. Wynn played with the sensory board, Genevieve relaxed and watched other friends play (still observing her new classroom), Jackson pressed the buttons on a sound toy, Sophie climbed all over the big, stuffed bear, Ancel rode the rocking horse, Clara relaxed in one of the red reclining chairs, Olive and Gage sang danced with Cherokee while she sang songs, and Noah ran an errand with Arielle to the office to grab something.

After we played for a while we ate lunch and then went to sleep. Naptime ended a little early today but our friends did a great job at laying on their napmats until told that it’s time to get up. We painted outside with black and red paint in the afternoon, which they absolutely loved.
