Tuesday's Blog 8/21/2012

Hey guys! What a beautiful and glorious day it is here at the Sprout! The weather is so amazing that we spent most of our morning outside on the deck, and we had snack on the deck PICNIC STYLE! The kiddos seemed to really enjoy it. While we were outside we looked at all the clouds in the sky and let our imaginations soar, pointing out different shapes and animals we saw in the clouds to continue our learning of clouds and the weather. 

This afternoon our art project we made lightning bolts! During art time we talked about the different sounds we hear during a lightning and thunderstorm.  After we finished doing art, we came to circle time not only to sing, dance, and laugh but to make the noises of a thunderstorm with our hands and feet! We stomped on the ground and clapped our hands pretending we were the sounds of lightning and thunder.

We finished our day with our older friends in the toddler class outside.  Everyone had a really great day today!
