Turn Up the Volume

Happy Tuesday!

I am so excited about this week because we are learning about music!! Music is something that I am very passionate about and I believe has a huge impact on the kids.  It’s nice that we incorporate song and dance into our everyday routine, but this week we are introducing various types of instruments!  During our activity we took out each instrument and talked about the name of the instrument, what type of instrument it is, and also demonstrated how to use it.  I also introduced the sign for music.  You can look it up, or ask us about it if you’re curious and would like to practice it at home.  It was really nice to play music together as a group.  There is something very special that happens when you play music together; everyone’s brain waves link up and you get a deeper connection. It’s pretty magical!  Well I look forward to doing more musical projects with the class later this week.  Everyone have a fabulous evening!
