Welcome Kai!!!!!

Today we welcomed our newest member Kai!!! Kai will be coming on Thursdays and Fridays every week and we are so happy to have him in our class. Many of our pre-tot friends were very curious about Kai so we introduced him to them.  Ancel and Wynn wanted to give him hugs but Kai was still very shy; however, Kai adjusted very quickly shortly after and was good and ready to join all of his friends.  

We started our morning off inside since it was so cold outside. Hunter, Sophie and Jackson played in the puzzle center and helped each other put all the pieces back. Wynn got nice and cozy with our big teddy bear and was looking at pictures in one of our books. Olive and Genevieve sat at the snack table and signed that they were ready for some snack. Soon all of our friends were at the table and we all enjoyed some delicious pear and craisins. During snack we went over the days of the week and sang our days of the week song. Then we counted how many days we are at in January. After going over the days of the week we all looked outside to see what the weather was like today. Unlike yesterday where it was cloudy and cold, today has been a very sunny and slightly warmer.

Once all of kiddos had their bellies full of snack, we decided to explore our backyard once again since it’s been so long since we’ve been able to go outside due to the weather. We bundled our kiddos up and marched our way to our big beautiful backyard. Our kiddos were so excited to be outside! They all hurried down the ramp and ran straight into our backyard.

Kai hopped on one of our push cars and seemed to have a blast being on it. Then Miss Jackie began reading a book titled “Little Blue Truck.” Wynn, Hunter, Kai, and Olive all sat down to listen to her as she read. Noah found a little soccer ball and began shaking it in the air. Ancel had a rock that he found and has been carrying it around with him all morning long. We thought it was so cute that we started calling it his pet rock. Then Miss Dom and Jackie started doing yoga and Genevieve watched them with very curious eyes.

After being outside for a little while we all began heading back in to get ready for lunch and nap.

After nap we all woke up and sat at the table to get ready for our afternoon snack. Once everyone had their fill of snack, we all got ready for our Spanish teacher Miss Leona! Today she introduced 2 new songs that she learned in a class she is taking. She also got to meet our newest member Kai.


After Miss Leona left we all got dressed and put on coats and shoes to end our day outside.
