Wet, Wet Wednesday

Hi Families!

I hope everyone had a safe drive home in the rain last night!
Yesterday was another great day at the Sprout!
We started off inside because of the rain. We read some books and talked about our colors and animals. Everyone is talking more and more each and every day. It's amazing to watch them soak up the world around them and learn the words to express their opinions and describe what they see. Our class is becoming more and more opinionated. They let us know what songs they want to sing and which books we should read. They are also starting to use their words to tell their friends when they don't like something another child is doing. We are constantly working on ways to express ourselves verbally. 

When it cleared up for a bit in the morning we eagerly rushed outside. Everyone had a blast running around and getting to move their bodies freely. Unfortunately, it started raining again soon after we got outside so we all rushed back in. We spent the rest of the day inside, which is always a little hard for the children because they have so much energy and our room is just not big enough for them to get it all out. We had a great time though, snuggling up and reading lots of books. We also sang just about every song we know. Many of our friends are starting to sing along with us, which is so fun to hear!
