Hello, Families! Water was a big part of our day today. During circle time we read about the rainbow fish who gives his shining scales to his friends. The children love this book, especially the part about the octopus who gives the rainbow fish some good advice. After circle we went outside and added fish to the ocean we painted yesterday. We dipped fish-shaped sponges in paint and used them as stamps. We added many colorful fish to the ocean and the children enjoyed painting with the sponges. Next time you drop off or pick up be sure to check out the fish-filled ocean that is hanging in our classroom! After nap we headed out to the deck for some splash time! We used the hose to make it rain all over the deck and the kids had a great time splashing, filling buckets with water, and dumping them out. Some of the kids dove right in to the water play while others were a bit more cautious. We are really starting to feel the heat at Green Sprout so today we stayed inside a little longer than usual. The kids seemed happy to be inside a little longer, so we'll see if we're able to stay in on some of the really hot days this summer. Have a fabulous evening! <3 Magdalen
