Wiggly Wednesday

Happy Wednesday, All!

I hope everyone had a wonderful day! After snack some of our friends drew at the table while others had some energetic free play in the playroom. It's a lot of fun to see the children fill more and more of their pages with color as time goes by. During circle time we read some special books about bugs that Sophie and Wynn brought in! Thank you, friends :) Everyone is really enjoying learning about bugs. We also sung the itsy bitsy spider and our "fly like a butterfly" song. We all practiced making butterflies with our hands. After circle we went outside and looked in the garden for bugs. We saw some ants and were able to pick up a whole bunch of rolly poleys. Everyone loved watching them crawl around!

After a little outside time we moved to the deck because some of our friends are nervous outside because of the incident on Monday. I just want to say that I am so thankful that everyone is okay! All the teachers are doing great jobs of helping the children feel safe and loved as we try to maintain as much of our routine as possible.

On the deck we rode horses and stacked blocks. The big legos were particularly popular today, and our friends are getting quite good at putting the pieces together. After nap we read more books about bugs, as well as other topics, while some of our friends stacked blocks on train cars at the table. Later we headed back out to the deck where we enjoyed games of duck duck goose and seeing all our toddler friends.
