A Beautiful Day (1/10)

1/11/2013

Thursday started off rather chilly, but soon turned into a perfect day. Around the time we normally go in for snack the temperature had warmed up and we decided to have snack outside. No one complained about staying outside since we had been cooped up for the last two days. We played a lot of chase with the boys and when cornered Joey seemed to talk his way out of getting tagged a few times. The girls played a. Game where one was a lost cat and the others had to find her. These two games occupied most of their time outside. Once the toddlers went inside for lunch we pulled out some balloons and everyone was throwing them in the air letting the wind catch their balloons then running quickly to chase it down. We had a few spontaneous pops but there were plenty of extras to go around.
Once we decided to go inside it was already lunch time. We followed our normal routine but we read two stories before nap instead of one. Having been outside for so long everyone was very tired, even maya said she couldn't wait for her nap.
Everyone slept very hard, many even went a little past our normal wake up time. We tried to get everyone organized for an art project but nap and afternoon snack took too long and it was time for Spanish before we even got started.
Spanish is always exciting for the kids because miss Leona brings simple instruments everyone use. Today she brought drum sticks and everyone got to drum on the floor to the beat. Everyone is always very well behaved with whatever instruments she brings because she usually has other noise makers for different songs later in the class.
After a very musical Spanish class we went back outside to enjoy the great weather while we still have it.
