We had a great day here in the Shining Star room.  During snack this morning we read a story our of Maya’s book she brought. Thanks Maya! During circle time we really focused on learning the ABC’s in sign language.  The kiddos are really getting the hang of their finger placements for each letter!  We then engaged in centers while Dax, Leina, Zoey and Maya went to Kinder Blossom with Miss Arielle.  Hank and Miya finished their Valentines while Joey, Rhys, and Ben enjoyed playing in the Construction center.  Arielle and I are going to focus our next unit of learning around the Shining Stars love for Construction.

This afternoon while our friends were waking up from nap we started working on our Valentines cards for the other classes.  They turned out great!  The other classes are going to love them J  As we were finishing up afternoon snack Kenny arrived to teach us an art lesson during the time we were supposed to have Spanish we thought it would be special for him to come and teach an art lesson.  This afternoon he introduced the Shining Stars to Picasso.  The kiddos then sketched their own master piece with the influence of Picasso.  The Shining Stars loved looking at the pictures from the book Kenny brought in to find inspiration for their individual works of art.

Before we marched outside for afternoon pickup Dax was able to pick a toy from our Treasure Boc because he was the first Shining Star to receive 10 stickers!  Go Dax!  He picked a car from the Treasure Box to play with outside.

Today was full of love and art!  We certainly are ready for our Celebration of Love tomorrow!  Hope to see everyone there!
