Hola amigos!  Welcome back to another fantastic week here at Green Sprout!  We started our day outside playing with trucks, climbing on the dome and making smoothies in the sandbox.

Once we marched inside for snack we took the time to do secret sack.  Hank brought it home over the weekend and had us all stumped!  It was a big crocodile pillow!  Good one Hank!  Colette will take the secret sack home tonight.  During snack we also introduced out letter of the week which is the letter Ee.  We looked at all the items in the Ee box and we watched the letter Ee video.

It was now time for Show and Tell.  The Shining Stars did such a great job respecting their friends during Show and Tell we earned a sticker for our Rody and Kody popsicle party!  YAY!! Good job Shining Stars!

After Show and Tell we had time for centers and to play outside until lunch time.

This afternoon we went out to the deck to check on the lima beans we planted, they are sure sprouting! Miss Abby and Nick arrived shortly after we were done with snack for yoga.

Have a great night!
Love, Lizzie and Arielle

Sorry about the late post folks.  Friday we spent some of the morning in the Toddler room having a dance party with our new Yo Gabba Gabba cds. Thanks Jasper!!
We then headed outside once the rain stopped to continue our dance party fun!  For snack we had a dome picnic with the Toddlers to enjoy our watermelon and bananas.
During lunch Ben did the secret sack.
That afternoon after snack we enjoyed the rest of our watermelon and juice on the deck.  Thank you Paige for bringing the juice to share with the Shining Stars.
We then headed back outside to the backyard to end another fabulous week here at the Sprout!

We started off the chilly morning inside coloring and playing in the construction center.  Once more of our friends arrived  me made dandelions.  We use q-tips and dipped them in paint as the pedals.  The Shining Stars really enjoyed placing all the q-tips in the bulbs then dipping the q-tips in paint.  They turned out super cute!

After our art project we ate snack and headed outside to enjoy the sunshine.  The Shining Stars spent most their time in the sandbox playing with trucks and climbing the tree.

This afternoon after nap we decorated a birthday card for Wren as we waited for all of our friends to wake up. We also read a fantastic book Dax brought into share, thanks Dax!!

We then got ready to party for Wrens birthday!  We all went out on the deck to enjoy the delicious cupcakes Wren and his mom made, thanks guys!! We then marched back outside the finish our day.

Rainy Thursday!

Today was a rainy day so we played inside! We started off in centers, then read some stories, then did Miya's secret sack (a dress) and then ate snack. Afterwards we did circle time and made caterpillars with recycled egg cartons, paint, and glitter! Plus, caterpillar starts with our letter of the week, Cc!

We returned to centers afterwards until lunch. We went around the table talking about what we were eating and also talked about the sprouts (lima beans and potato) that we have been growing, and how when it's not rainy and cold out we will plant them in the barrels on the deck.

The afternoon was full of rainy day fun, including a big princess puzzle donated to us by the toddler room, Little Dragon, art, and dramatic play!

Happy 4th Birthday Zoey!

What a wonderful and busy Wednesday we have had today.  This morning we played outside until most of friends arrived to school.  Wren is back from vacation today, we were all so happy to see him walk outside this morning! Welcome back Wren!!
Leina and Maya led circle time today.  They began with yoga, stretching out all of our friends bodies to get ready for the day.
After circle time Miss Lizzie gave the kiddos the option of going to centers or doing an art project with her.  Most everyone chose to do the art project.  We gathered at the table to make our planet Earth with shaving cream and blue and green paint.  The kiddos loved mixing the colors and swirling around the shaving cream.
When they were finished with their art the kiddos washed their hands and brushes then headed off to centers or Kinder Blossom.
After nap we practiced writing our letter Cc in our notebooks then got ready to party for Zoey's birthday!! Zoey's mom and brother Jette (whom everyone was very excited to see) came to visit with special homemade cupcakes!  How special!!  After we gobbled up the cupcakes and sang Happy Birthday we had a dance party at Zoey's request.  We said goodbye and thank you to the Campbells then headed outside to see our new garden!
Miss Toni was very eager to tell us all about our new Spring garden in our backyard.  She planted many new plants including the chocolate mint plant that was donated by Paige and her dad Skip, thanks guys!!
We had such a great day today I certainly hope you did as well!
See you tomorrow for a stormy Thursday :)

We started off our day by watering the garden and the wildflower seeds that the toddlers recently planted along the fence on the playground. Then we had a picnic snack and Zoey did the secret sack, which had a real stumper in it...a ukulele! Then we continued to love our backyard by admiring the garden and talking about fun environmental awareness and earth day activities that we can do this week.

During lunch we went over the Cc box, which had items like a car, couch cushion, carrot, cucumber, cheese cracker, pretend cupcake, and other items that start with the letter Cc. We also kept talking about environmental awareness and planned to plant the potato and avocado that we have been preparing, along with the lima beans sprouting in bags on the windows, in the barrels on the deck.

After nap we did yoga with Abby and Nick. More fun environmental awareness activities are to come this week! We ♥ the earth!

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope you all enjoyed this beautiful weekend we just had.
We had yet another very relaxed Monday here at the Sprout.  This morning we enjoyed playing outside.
During snack we did Secret Sack, our friend Tristan brought the sack back to school today.  His item from home in the sack was a trumpet!! How cool!!! The Shining Stars absolutely LOVED listening to Tristan play the trumpet!  Everyone laughed so hard at the notes Tristan played, some of us were even crying from laughter!  It was such a big hit we decided the toddlers and pre tots needed to hear Tristan play.  Thanks Tristan for such a great Secret Sack!

After snack we all gathered on the carpet for Show and Tell.  Today's Show and Tell took more time than usual so we did not have time for centers, we just headed back outside to enjoy the cool weather this morning before lunch.

This afternoon the Shining Stars enjoyed yoga.

What a great day to kick off another fantastic week here at the Sprout :)
