MONDAY:

We had a great start to our Monday morning with a special visitor, Annabelle! She was greeted by everyone, while Paislie and Miss Lizzie observed Little Dragon. Lately, most friends have been climbing or practicing climbing the dome climber, and mastering it.

Later that morning, Miss Arielle made a card for Zoey, Asher and Mrs Magdalen. Zoey’s last day was Wednesday, And Asher and Magdalen both celebrated birthdays this week! Friends from all classes decorated the cards with markers and crayons.

After nap, we had a quick snack, before Miss Colette came for some afternoon Yoga. Friends were very excited, as she introduced a new song/pose(s) during yoga Circle time. First, we stretched our bodies, than prepared for our activity. We all laid on our backs, and started the “Wheels on the bus” song, while doing poses related to the lyrics. They all were very interested in the poses, and even created their own pose which other friends mirrored.

TUESDAY:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ASHER!!! Another beautiful, cool morning at the Sprout, Wren relaxing on his favorite chair, And Ms Cherokee singing songs with everyone in the sandbox.

We came inside, started circle time, and sang Happy Birthday to Asher, as he did a dancing! We then broke up into work time, friends finding math, science, and sensory lessons to work on.

Zoey working on the Teen Bead counter, Colette working the moon dough, smashing it, and molding it. Wren Super excited as he worked on the long red rods, which vary in length, placing them in order by decimeter.  Ben worked on the pink tower, which works fine motor, and size recognition. You stack from biggest on bottom, working your way up by increments. Addie worked quietly on the big rug, with the 50 states puzzle.

After nap, we enjoyed some peaceful yoga on the deck, then marching outside to celebrate Asher's birthday! We sang and had vegan chocolate and vanilla cupcakes and ended our afternoon outside! :)

WEDNESDAY:

Today was Zoey last day at Green Sprout as she is going to stay with mom, and new baby sister, until she starts Kindergarten next year! We will definitely miss her! So during circle time we asked her what she would like to do for her last day! There was a lot of ideas from Zoey and friends, but we finally decided to have a snack, chosen by Zoey. And her choice was veggie chips with hummus! J

After our classroom discussion/circle time, we broke off into work time. Wren checked out the new Dressing Frames we added to the practical life shelf, he first worked with the Zipping Frame, which helps develop hand-eye coordination, concentration and independence, and helps them zip up and zip down! He was very proud of himself, and completed it over and over again!

Many friends made their way to the art table to work on our “People Links”! Decorating their own figure, which was very great to see!

Paige soon found her way to the new dressing frames, and first worked with the zipping frame, then made her way to grab the Velcro dressing frame.

After nap, we made our way to the table to enjoy the snack Zoey had picked out, then got our shoes on and made our way outside to enjoy our last afternoon with Zoey!

THURSDAY:

Many friends love to spend their morning out by the play house, working on it, decorating it, or just hanging around!

Today we had 2 playdates with our friends, Olive and Milou, who joined us from the Toddler room. Some friends explained to Olive what we “do next”, while Milou stuck by her brother, Major’s side! We had a very routine circle time, before breaking off into centers. More friends this time worked on the dressing Frames, Colette working with Velcro frame, and Paige working with the small buttons.  Major worked quietly on the pink tower. Before we knew it, it was time to clean up!

Since the weather was a little chilly, we opted for a Thursday Morning Black Light Dance Party! Once it warmed up, we marched outside to burn off some energy before lunch and nap transition!
