What a GLOWING type of day we had! First, before the glowing, we harvested a cabbage from the garden that we tasted during afternoon snack (along with a sugar-free 7-Eleven slurpee, which was free because today is 7-11!) We talked about the significance of the datr and slurpee, as well as gardening and how amazing it is. The toddlers joined us after morning snack for a black light, glow stick, and l-wire party in our classroom. We all had a blast, and these types of toddler-involved activities are great because several toddlers will be transitioning to our class next month and we want them to feel as comfy, welcomed, accepted, excited, and happy as possible about being in our class. Afterwards we enjoyed the breeze outside then ate lunch inside with a special playdate guest, Alanna from the toddler room! She willingly spent the rest of the day with us, which we loved. After nap we threw down yer another black light party, this time with very small guests...the infants! The kids voted not to do Splash Day and instead do centers for the rest of the day. What a great Thursday (they ALWAYS rock!)
