MONDAY:
Happy Cinco De Mayo! We celebrated by decorating sombreros, making Mexican Flags, and talking about cinco de mayo during our Group Time.

Doms Group worked on the Letter "Ii", while Lizzies group painted Mexican flags green and red!
Ms Liz joined us for some Yoga, focusing on Dolphin Pose, stretching their bodies and practicing the pose!
TUESDAY:
Ben and Noah worked on a puzzle, while Paislie worked with the knobbed cylinders. Sophie worked with the Teen Bead Hanger, counting to ten, while Elliot matched the popsicle sticks to the corresponding colors.

Doms group made "Inchworms", by gluing down their letter, then green pieces of paper to make the worm,

We went outside to work on our Lesson of the week, "Self", practicing washing our hands, and also washing "babies", using gentle hands.

Ms Vanessa joined us for yoga with group 2, focusing on stretching,

WEDNESDAY:
Doms group used Ice to paint out on the deck, it was a great sensory project and they loved it! mixing the colors together to make an array of colors!

after nap, we broke up into our group for show N tell, Ivy and Sophie brought an Ice Pack for the letter Ii, Asher brought a spider man figurine, teo brought a 18 wheeler truck, and noah brought some bike lights,

after nap, we worked on our mothers day projects, while also breaking up into group for spanish with Daphne!
THURSDAY:
We started this day with some self portrait art, friends looked in the mirrior and "drew" themselves using pastels.
We enjoyed a quick snack under the dome, before heading to the tables to have a Alphabet Party with dom, lizzie, and kinder blossom groups! They tasted alphabet soup, alphabet pretzels, alphabet animal crackers while singing the alphabet song! :)
after nap, Group 1 met with ms Daphne in the welcome center for some Spanish. Today we learned about our "Manos" and "Dedos", Hands and Fingers!

FRIDAY:
Dance Party is always a success! We went in for a quick snack, then headed back outside, while Kinder Blossom stayed in for their Kinder Blossom Party.  They enjoyed Skittles, Pita Chips, Soy Pizza, cookies, gum, and other treats before heading to the deck for some play time/kinder blossom time!

While outside, the rest of the community worked on their "spy scopes", decorating toilet paper rolls with stickers and using markers and crayons on them! They used them to spy Birds in the sky, and insects in the garden! :)

After nap, Chef Mike came in for his last cooking project for a bit as he is taking a short hiatus, to work more on and with his Food Truck! Today Mike served my friends one of his favorite treats, watermelon with feta cheese and a balsamic glaze. Many friends tried it and the expressions were half and half, but we were definitely excited most friends gave it a try! We said Adios to mr Mike, got our shoes on, and marched out to enjoy the rest of the afternoon!!

Love
Dom-Dom
