Fantastic Friday the Fifth

Friday.
Friday was another beautiful day outside, so we decided we wanted to be out a little more than normal. We jaded inside at our normal time for a quick snack, but instead of staying in, we went back outside for some music and dancing. When we got outside beat it by Michael Jackson was playing and we had a big group of dancers. The dancing kept everyone's attention for about ten minutes then they decided to run around and play tag and transformers, with the exception of Caden and Jasper. Those two kept the dancing going with YoGabaGaba for another twenty minutes. After the iPod lost everyone's attention miss Jackie fought out her guitar and sang some of our favorite songs. McDonalds farm is a staple because of the animal noises everyone gets to make. Fridays are always very relaxed and following our outside musical festivities we headed inside to satiate our appetites. Lunch was entertaining as always and a bit messier than normal, so we decided to help keep our classroom clean everyone would help pickup the mess. We used our tiny dust pans and crawled under the table to sweep up our very messy floor. Much of the mess was just moved around the floor, but everyone felt like as though they helped clean up a part of Greensprout which made them feel proud. With the end of lunch marks the beginning of nap time, so everyone found a seat on the floor and listened to our story of the tooth fairy. The book was called Construction Zone and was very loosely based on the tooth fairy, but it captured everyone's attention. After a good nap we woke up and had a snack and talked about our cooking project. There was a unanimous decision to make pizzas. Our pizzas were made out of English muffins, some friends chose not to use marinara sauce and others decided to only use marinara sauce. Needless to say everyone thoroughly enjoyed their mini pizzas. After our cooking project we gave the kids a lot of freedoms in choosing their activities. Some students such as Leina, Maya, and Caden worked on letters, while Colette and Tristan worked on art projects for mommy. In between work we had a quick light show with the toddlers disco ball lights. Needless to say our afternoon was very busy with activities chosen by our friends. It was a great day to end the week with.
