Welcome back!  We certainly hope everyone had a fun and safe break! We are all so happy to be back at The Sprout with all of our friends.

Monday:  We had an amazing morning, everyone was so happy to be back at school, to learn and plkay again.  This morning after drop off we came inside for snack and had Montessori work time.  We then split into our small groups.  Dom’s group

Lizzie’s group introduced the letter Dd and Hh.  We then brainstormed words that began with each letter.  The kiddos did a great job, we nearly filled up the entire dry erase board with words!  Some of the Sprouts had the idea of decorating hearts tpo hang up in our classroom, so we headed to the table and used water colors and markers as decoration.  Kinder Blossom  also introduced the letter Dd, then brainstormed words that begin with Dd.  They then went on a scavenger hunt around the school to make their Dd box.

This afternoon Miss Liz joined us in our classroom as she is subbing for Mr. Nick.  We are all so excited she gets to spend so much time with us.  She joined both groups for yoga then headed outside for afternoon pick -ups.

Tuesday:  We started this morning outside with a lot of knock knock jokes.  We also played Red Light, Green Light.  Our Montessori work time was cut short today so we could march outside to the backyard and plant seeds with the rest of the classes.  The pre-tot and toddler classes planted sage in egg cartons while the Sunflowers each got their own pot and planted cherry tomatoes.  We can’t wait to watch them grow!  During small group Dom’s group brainstormed words that began with Bb then went outside to play with balloons.  Lizzie’s group and Kinder Blossom both practiced writing the letter Dd.  This afternoon we enjoyed yoga with Miss Vanessa and water coloring on the deck.

Wednesday:  This morning after our Montessori work time we broke into small groups.  Dom’s group practiced tracing numbers with the Montessori Sand Paper Numbers.  Lizzie’s group went through both letter boxes and drew in their journals.  Kinder Blossom brainstormed words that begin with the letter Hh then went on a scavenger hunt to make their Hh box.  This afternoon we had Show and Tell then Spanish with Miss Daphne.  Miss Liz sat in with both groups today for her first Spanish class.  She said all the kiddos are really picking up on Spanish!

Thursday:  This morning we all played basketball and soccer outside.  We also enjoyed playing with the parachute and coloring on the big table.  Spring time is definitely here and we are all exited to spend a lot of time outside.  Today during small groups Dom’s group played with play-doh.  Lizzie’s group practiced writing their Hh’s then played a dice game.  We each took turns rolling the dice then counted the number of dots we saw and kept count on the dry erase board.  Kinder Blossom also practiced writing their Hh’s.   This afternoon after nap we went out to the deck to do some ‘Spring Cleaning’.  We went through all the toys and decided which ones we wanted to keep and which ones we were done with.  We also washed the chairs, buckets, and dome climber with soap and water.  We then had yet another wonderful Spanish class with Miss Daphne.

Friday:  Happy Friday!  We had an epic dance party this morning.  We also played with balloons, bubbles and hula hoops.  We also worked in the garden and planted more cherry tomatoes.
This afternoon we had a cooking project with Chef Mike and watched the Pre-Tot parade.

Have a great week!
Love Lizziev
