Happy Friday everyone!  We are all so happy to have Mr. Nick back at school today feeling better! YAY!  This morning all the lil sprouts had our Friday dance party outside with the entire school with the help of Yo Gabba Gabba!  Everyone’s favorite song is the “Wiggle Wiggle Freeze” song! They just love shakin and groovin their bodies until they say freeze!  We then put on some Michael Jackson to finish off our dance party.  All the kiddos then gathered in the sandbox with all the teachers to sing a special song, SHARK ATTACK! The kiddos really were getting into the song especially when we have to start swimming really fast and running around the playground!  Once we came inside for snack our friend Dax had a special announcement to tell his friends!  He told us he’s a big brother now because he has a brand new baby sister at home! HOW EXCITING!  This morning we had our friends who weren’t here yesterday make their doctor coats so we could all wear them this afternoon for dramatic play!  After we rested our bodies at nap time, it was time to get started on our cooking project.  We got whole grain bread, used a cookie cutter shaped like a heart for all of our friends. We then used sunflower butter to spread on our hearts, and stuck pieces of strawberries and bananas in on the butter.  All the kiddos really enjoyed this cooking project and gave it two very enthusiastic thumbs up!!  Once we finished up our cooking project we all put on our doctor coats and listened to each other’s heart beats.  Mr. Nick explained that with each beat the heart pumps blood to the rest of our body.  All the kiddos were so eager to play with the stethoscopes during dramatic play we spent the rest of the time in our classroom dressing up and listening to each other’s hearts!  We hope everyone has a great weekend and that the rain doesn’t damper anyone’s plans.  We will see you Monday!

Much Peace and Love,

Miss Lizzie and Mr. Nick
