Monday:  Today was Genevieve’s 3rd birthday!  Dom and Lizzie’s group made treasure maps to go on a hunt outside on the backyard.  This afternoon we had a very special guest come for "Musical Mondays" and play the harmonica.  The kiddos absolutely loved it!

Tuesday:  During small group time today Miss Lizzie’s group practiced writing uppercase M. We also made a mountain out of paper Mache.  All the Sunflowers enjoyed making shapes and different objects using marshmallows and toothpicks.  Kinder Blossom

Wednesday:  Today is Addie’s 5th birthday!! Happy birthday, Addie!  This morning during Montessori work time Paislie and Teo worked together to complete the sign language alphabet puzzle while Wren and Lizzie worked together to spell words using wooden letters.  Wren did a fantastic job sounding out the letters to read the words!  Each group then had Show and Tell and headed outside.  This afternoon after nap and Secret Sack we celebrated Addie’s birthday with a Black Light dance party, upon her request, we also enjoyed cupcakes!  We then enjoyed Spanish with Miss Daphne, learning all the different transportation vehicles in Spanish such as helicopter, train, bus, car, etc.

Thursday:  Miss Arielle was out today; Miss Toni stepped in for her to lead Kinder Blossom.  After they all turned in their homework they went on a “trash hunt” around Green Sprout.  They discussed the importance of not littering. Miss Lizzie's group practiced their names then painted the mountain they made on Tuesday and stuck macaroni on the mountain.  This afternoon we all enjoyed Chinese.  We continued to learn the numbers 1-12 in Chinese.  All the Sunflowers are catching on very quickly.

Friday:  This morning after snack we headed outside for a dance party.  We blew up balloons and danced to Latin music outside. We also made leaves using our hand prints and paint.  This afternoon we made Halloween masks then played on the deck.

Have a great long weekend!

Love Lizzie
