Monday:  Welcome back! We certainly hope everyone enjoyed their Mother's Day weekend.  Today Dom Dom introduced her group to the letter Jj.  They watched the Jj video and took turns writing Jj on the chalk board.  Lizzie's group brainstormed idea they wanted to have for our party week.  We came up with some great ideas!  Kinder Blossom practiced writing the entire alphabet.  During outside time Wren ate one of our tomatoes from our garden.  This afternoon we used droppers to paint on paper towels with food coloring.  During yoga today with Miss Liz we practiced poses using partners.  All the kiddos did a fabulous job practicing balance and strength.  During outside time after yoga Mrs. Jackie G. brought ladybugs that we all released into the garden!

Tuesday:  Today during Montessori work time a lot of our friends wanted to focus their work time on puzzles.  Dom;s group spent their time making jellyfish with their hand prints.  Lizzie's group made owls using egg cartons as their eyes.  Kinder Blossom brainstormed words that have 'ch' in them.  The rain (that we needed so badly) kept us inside this morning.  The Sunflowers spent their time playing with play-doh, making many different animals.  This afternoon Miss Vanessa played a game with the kiddos using camel pose.

Wednesday:  What an absolutely fabulous day we had today!  The weather was perfect!  This morning after snack we gathered on the carpet to explore our 20 new library books we have.  After reading quit a few we broke into small groups.  Dom's group practiced tracing numbers with our sand paper numbers.  Lizzie's group had their balloon party outside in the backyard.  This afternoon we had another party out on the deck, a shaving cream party!  We used shaving cream on the table with food coloring to practice writing our names.  The kiddos absolutely loved mixing all the colors and writing their names.  During Spanish this afternoon we learned the parts of our body in Spanish.  We then each took turns to place the hands, head, arms, legs, and feet on the body as we recited the name in Spanish.

Thursday:  This morning during Montessori work time Miss Ashley came in our room and gave us all presentations on new works in our classroom.  The Sunflowers were very attentive and shows Miss Ashley how respectful they are.  That afternoon Miss Arielle found a catepillar that we all took turns holding and discussing what the little guy is going to turn into.

Friday:  This Friday MIss Lizzie's group and Kinder Blossom took a walking field trip to the screen printing studio next door.  We all watched as Mike (the owner of the shop) walked us through the studio and showed us each step in making a t-shirt.  All the kiddos (and adults) loved learning about the screen printing process!

Have a great weekend!
Miss Lizzie
