Primary Ph.Ds!

Hi parents!  Lizzie here, reporting from the Primary room.  :) We have had an outstanding day today! We started the morning off outside playing on the playground.  Leina, Colette, Miya and Miss Lizzie played as if were in a restaurant making many different types of food to sell to our customers. We made everything from guacamole and chips to hummus and carrots.   The girls picked what they wanted to make and mostly everything they decided they wanted to make was a healthy choice!  Still waiting for more of our friends to arrive we came inside to eat snack.  As we were eating our delicious cantaloupe and grapes we continued our discussion on our topic of the week concerning keeping your body healthy from germs.  Today we focused on people in our community who help us keep our bodies healthy.  We discussed doctors, nurses, and dentists.  We chatted about where we find these people, when we go to see them, and how they help our bodies.  All the kiddos had a story they wanted to share with their friends about their experience at the doctor or dentists.  Because it’s Thursday we had show and tell during circle time once we completed our calendar and talked about the weather.  All the kiddos love to inform all their friends of the names of their special friends.  The names that they come up with are absolutely hilarious!  Paige’s bear she said was named Pedro, Colette’s cat was named Kitty, Miya’s  brought in a sea turtle she said she got from the turtle hospital , and Caden’s giraffe was named Marvel! Leina loved sharing how her bracelet is magic and the sparkle on the bracelet gives her brain power!  For our art project today we made doctors coats!  Miss Lizzie made the coats from brown paper bags and then kiddos painted them with white paint.  Just to be safe we are going to let the coats dry overnight, and tomorrow we will have plenty of time for dramatic play to act as if we are doctors and nurses! This afternoon in Spanish we were introduced to even more new songs and practiced the ones we learned yesterday!  Mrs. Leona was very impressed with all the kiddos abilities to sing so loud and their ability to pick up on the new songs so quickly!  She also read us a story, each page she would read it in Spanish then in English. Once we wrote our daily notes we went outside with the rest of the lil sprouts at school to play!  See you tomorrow!

Much love,
Miss Lizzie
