It was another brisk morning so the primary class started inside. Everyone explored our room calmly. Dax and Tristan tag teamed a puzzle together, while Colette diligently worked on her scissor skills. Miya and Maya read quietly in the library until it was snack time. We had cantaloupe and Cheerios for snack and we talked about what everyone did over the weekend.
Following snack it had warmed up enough to go outside so we bundled up and headed for the playground. To spice up the back yard Toni brought out the fisher price push cars which are normally on the deck. These were a huge hit. All the boys grabbed one and seemed like they were in a hot rod gang. Once the appeal of the cars wore off a bit Dax rounded the whole primary class up for a giant game of tag, with nick as the bait. With the whole class playing and some toddlers the biggest game of tag Greensprout has seem in a long time was a great success. Our outside time was dry energetic the whole time which was good to see.
After a lot of energy had been worked out we went inside for lunch then a double story time by Lizzie and nick.
All of our friends woke up late and had snack.
Monday and Tuesday we had yoga classes at 3:30 so knowing this Leina and Maya took it upon themselves to clean up their area after snack and start stretching on the big carpet to get ready for yoga.
Yoga is amazing, to keep everyone's attention there are activities in between yoga poses which helps keep their attention since they are not stuck doing one thing for too long. We just brought yoga back into our curriculum but it is already one of their favorite things to do.
After yoga we bundled back up and went outside for pick up. Again everyone was very energetic and by about 5:30 we went inside for a little snack for those that were still at the sprout.
