MONDAY:
During  Montessori work time, Byron worked the cube connectors, making patterns of different colors, then taking them apart and doing it again. Sophie worked with the textured boards, feeling them, then matching them to their pair. Miya soon found the Zipping Frame, and worked on that, while Ben worked on the Dot Counting activity. He laid out this mat, just as Ms Ashley showed us, and placed all of his numbers down, then one by one counted out the dots to the appropriate number. Olive practiced writing her name with dry erase markers.

Group A introduced the letter “Vv”! We did a letter search, with all the letters of the alphabet, pulling out all the letter V’s. Group B

Kinder Blossom Group played a game of Alphabet Bingo, Dax using one card, while Paige and Colette kept their eyes on two cards each! Once they had a winner, they began practicing their writing, using pencils only. After they finished they practiced sharpening their pencils.

After nap, we joined for group meeting. We met on the brown carpet by the chalk board to discuss and document “Ways that We Take Care of Our School”! Some friends said “by talking care of the bugs”,

Yoga with Ms Liz and Miya, Ivy, Jasper, Hank, Byron, Teo, and Sophie was underway, as we heard that today we would be going on a journey! Each time we came to a “stop” in the story, we would practice a pose, tree pose was the first, which everyone has mastered. During the next couple of poses, Liz introduced 2 new ones. Triangle pose and Warrior One pose, which everyone was excited to try!
TUESDAY:
During Montessori work time, Colette worked on the Puzzle of South America, while Addie worked on the Puzzle of Australia. Both taking their time, fitting each piece in and wanting to hear the name of the particular city or town they had just completed. Elliot worked with the textured slides, matching them to their pair, very curious about the textures, and how heavy some were compared to the others.  Ivy worked on the Dot counting work, while olive observed, Then passed it to Sophie, while Teo observed.

Group A

Group B

Kinder Blossom worked on Rhyming Bingo today,
The Weather was beautiful outside, as we enjoyed fun books, about fairy houses, working in the garden, and fold the flap Animal and Dinosaur books!

Our after nap art project was working with Dot Markers. Some friends were confused, as it looked like a marker, but had a flat tip, then I (dom) showed them how to make pictures using dots!
WEDNESDAY:
We started outside time with a visit from Mister and Ursula, our Hermit Crab friends from the toddler room. Paislie was very interested in them, and wanted to get a little closer look! We noticed a few Onions in the garden were above soil, so we decided to pick them and see if they were ready, and they were! Pre Tot, Toddler, and Primary friends all came over to check out the small onion, and to feel, smell, and taste it! Ivy, Julia, and a few other friends tried it, and enjoyed it!

Group A had their Show N Tell, we went around the classroom, and each friend, who chose to, told us about their show N tell. Ivy brought a basket of “soft fruit”, Teo an 18-wheeler truck, other friends preferred to listen then talk about their own. After we worked on coloring Vegetables, that we would later cut out and glue to the letter V!

Group B

Kinder Blossom

During Spanish, we played a fun counting and matching game! Ms Daphne brought a Large Die, cards with the number 1-6 on each one, and a coordinating body part that matched a larger version with Velcro. Friends would roll the dice, count the dots, and choose the correct match! It was a big hit, and helped with their counting and language!

THURSDAY:

FRIDAY:
Dance party had a new mix to get down to,and it was a good one! Miya's mix had everyone dancing and enjoying themselves!

We had a group picnic, of magic pop and strawberry or blueberry preserves! followed but a "car wash", we brought all of the trucks and cars from the playground, and filled up both sensory tubs and small pool with a small amount of water and soap. friends took turns washing and drying the cars, which looked spotless when we were done!! :)

For friday snack, we created our own rendition of Pizza, using tortillas, pasta sauce, cheese and adding either olives, broccoli, or cheese, lots of friends chose all three!
