Thursday started off rather chilly, but it did t seem to bother any of the primary class. Leina was quite content digging her way to the middle of the world with Sophie, one of the pre tots, as her right hand woman. Paige joined later in the drop off and brought an umbrella as part of her show and tell, which turned into a main attraction during drop off.
We headed in for snack a little after our scheduled time and had two toddler friends waiting to join us for a play date. Joey and Jasper joined the primary class for the day. After snack we had show and tell, Colette was the first to go with a little Christmas tree that lights up. It was quite captivating to look at. Unfortunately Joey didn't know about show and tell so he found a glass bottle filled with coloured sand in the classroom to share. He said he got it from home and that it was mommys. Paige showed her umbrella, with Leina following with a bag of bracelets. After show and tell we did some art work and took pictures for a special project we have been working on. Joey and Jasper soon grew weary of art and moved onto counting games and colour mixing games respectively. Joey worked on a game that counts in three dimension with only a few mistakes in his work. Paige brought chocolate coconut milk for everyone to enjoy while thy worked on different things around the class. When it was time to go outside Paige and Colette helped our new friends with their shoes and we went to the back yard to enjoy the playground which was left all for the primary class. After lunch and nap we had snack which was tortilla and hummus, avocado, and bell peppers. Miya ate the humus and tortilla but no one else wanted to eat any of the snack. So everyone took out their lunches and had leftovers they had not consumed from lunch. After cleaning up from snack we played a game inside. We played treasure map, Leina and Paige had a treasure map and had to find the hidden treasure, which was just an origami swan. Joey found it first in the white cabinet. Once he found it the treasure location quickly turned into a kitchen and then tea time with the swan. It was time for Spanish after our imaginary adventures so miss Leona led the Spanish singing and dancing. A favorite song of the kids is the wake up song, probably because they get bells, but everyone always participates in this song. After our half hour of Spanish we went outside to join the rest of Greensprout for our outside pick up.
