Witchtastic Monday

Happy Monday everyone!  I know it has been nothing but smiles here in the Primary room today!  We started our day off outside for morning drop off and decided to extend our outside time and eat snack outside with our Toddler friends.
We all gathered on the play scape to have a special snack time loving this Fall weather!

Once everyone was done with snack we came inside to start on our morning art project.  We made witches out of circles and triangles! All the kiddos really loved identifying the shapes they were using to make our witches! As we were making our witches Mr. Nick finished carving our other pumpkin for our class.  Thanks again to Miss Miya for bringing it in!

Once we finished our witches we put back on our jackets and coats (that we all so neatly hung on our coat rack :) and got ready to go back outside.  We gave the kiddos the choice of doing show and tell this morning or waiting to have it after snack.  They c hose to have it after snack to make sure everyone had plenty of time to talk about what they brought from home.

Before nap Miss Lizzie read us a story that Mateo's mom (from the Toddler room) so graciously gave our class titled 'KINDNESS IS COOLER' The book was about a class who made a kindness chart and everyday each class member made a heart and filled it with the act of kindness they had performed that day! What an awesome story!!  We decided we wanted to make "Kindness Hearts' for our classroom!

Once everyone woke up from nap and had snack it was time for Show and Tell.  We gathered on the carpet to do our circle time then proceeded to have Show and Tell.  This is most definitely everyone's favorite part of the day!

Maya brought in her doll Samantha that has traveled to New York with her!  Leina brought in Twilight Sparkles friend; Rarity, a special unicorn that flies in the land of Apple Jacks.  Tristan and Miya both brought in an awesome toy and you can draw on with a magnet then erase.  Rhys brought in a big truck that he likes to push around and make siren noises with.  Zoey brought in a notebook that has stencils, markers, and stickers in to decorate different dolls inside.  Paige showed us her new backpack with Tinker Bell on it.  Colette showed us that she has two blankies today and told us how special they were to her. After everyone had a turn at Show and Tell is was already time to go outside, enjoy this awesome weather, and play for afternoon pick up!  Have a great night and we will see everyone tomorrow!!
