What a beautiful and busy day it was at the Sprout! We had our routine drop off out on the playground, and then headed inside for snack. We discussed what day it was, and what day was yesterday, Joey quickly answered "Tuesday", then I asked everyone, "What day will it be tomorrow?"  Thursday, we all answered! We washed hands, had a quick dance party and headed back outside. Once we got out, we joined in on all the garden fun, pulling weeds and plants that were ready to come out. We examined the roots and the different vines that grew in our garden, we came across some barely blossomed vegetables and flowers, and everyone was very excited to hold the small veggies in their hand. Once the majority of the garden was cleared, we threw the vines and weeds into the wheel barrow and took it to the compost!

We marched inside for hand-washing and lunch. Toni stopped by for a quick hello, and some cuddle time before nap! Everyone loved climbing and jumping on Toni, and just before she left, she went to everyone and gave them a kiss, and told them she loved them and to have a great nap! After nap, we did books, potty, and diapers; Wren found a feather and started tickling some of his friends, Dom, and Jackie. We made our way to the table for snack, avocado and peppers were a big hit, and everyone kept asking for more. In the middle of snack, Ms Leona made her way in for Spanish. She set up her poster boards, while all my friends continued eating. Everyone sat, while Leona sang songs. Joey was so anxious to join in, that he got out of his chair and danced while eating :) We said our goodbyes to Leona, and said “Hasta Manana” (see you tomorrow), cleaned up, and put on shoes. We headed out, to the playground, to explore and socialize with our friends. It was a very nice ending to a fun and brisk day!

Much Love

Dom and Jackie

I love how you make sure to include the Sprouts with every phase of tending the garden. Clearly they all really enjoyed looking at the baby produce that had to be cleared to make room for our upcoming planting weekend. I especially love the series of Wren with the melon, what a cutie! The pictures of the dogpile in Toni at nap are hilarious also. Thanks once again for sharing these.
