Starting off the week with some beautiful weather and happy, happy kiddos! We all marched outside, but not before saying hello to Little Dragon and the Fish in the front.  Ms Cate started a fun game of chase and tag, while I sat under the dome with Jasper, Theo, Pais, Annabelle, Alanna, and pre-tot/primary friends. We started a circle time by singing songs, and greeting all of our friends that were arriving! Jasper made his request of the “ABC’s”, which made him super happy as he sang along. We finished it out with some “Wheels on the bus”. When Ms Jackie came out, we all helped water the garden and trees. Everyone was involved, and searched the playground for anything to hold water in. They were great little helpers, eager to help! We then made our way inside for hand washing and snack. After snack we broke up into groups, half went outside with Jackie and the other half, Jasper, Asher, Alanna, Paislie, and Theo, staying inside with Dom to work on some art. We sat at the art center, and talked about the new month we are in, and the weather, which brought up a lesson about “SNOW”. We talked about where we see snow, who has seen snow, and where does snow come from? We then worked on some glue and glitter art, friends squirted glue on their black paper, then shook blue glitter onto the glue, which made it look like a “snow storm”. Most friends smeared the glue then enjoyed getting glitter stuck on their hands. Once they each had their turn to use the glue and glitter we washed hands and marched outside to switch. It was close to lunch time, so Jackie brought in a few friends early, to help her prepare for lunch/nap. The rest of the group soon made their way in, looking forward to lunch. As friends finished up, they made their way to their nap mats, found a book, and soon fell asleep.

After nap, we did a quick diaper change and made our way to the table for snack. Soon after, friends broke up into centers, while Ben and Teo worked on their “snow storms”, excited and focused to work with the materials. We then made our way outside to get shoes, each friend sought out their shoes and went to the carpet to work on getting them on. Once most friends got their shoes on, they marched out with Jackie. Some friends joined Lizzie for a book and enjoyed the breezy afternoon.

Much Love

Dom and Jackie
